Nickajack Rail Trestle

After spending only about a day and a half in the Staunton, Virginia area, I sadly had to leave. The drive back was about 10 and a half hours long. I stopped several times. My last stop was made at the rest area at Nickajack Lake, along I-24 West, in Tennessee, just about 15 miles away from South Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and the Alabama border. After stretching my very tired, and very sore legs, I took a stroll to the lake's edge down a steep embankment and captured this photo. The sun was setting behind me, and I was sad, because that was on the opposite side of the Interstate. There was no way for me to get to the next exit in order to turn around and still have time to catch the sunset in those mountains in Tennessee.
